Though much of Cheatham County's topography consists of stark bluffs and rolling hills, we also have rich farmland that supplies many of Nashville's top restaurants and local farmers' markets.  Here's a sampling:

The Ashland City Farmers and Artisans Market, operated by the Town of Ashland City, is located at Riverbluff Park under a large metal structure. The market welcomes farmers with locally grown produce and value-added products, as well as artisans with locally made products. Anyone wishing to sell at the market must have a permit from the Town of Ashland City and meet all local, state, and federal requirements. Market days are Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October 31.


Kingston Springs Farmers and Artisans Market

The Kingston Springs Farmers and Artisans Market operates from 8 a.m. to noon on the following 2015 dates:

The Tennessee Century Farms Program began in 1975 as a way to recognize farms that had been in operation and owned by the same family for 100 years or more.  Cheatham County is home to 17 Century Farms, the oldest of which, Hewitt Farm, dates back to 1805!

Jolly Bee Soap - This Ashland City mom produces gorgeous soaps and bath products, many of which contain honey or beeswax from beehives on her family's farm.

KLD Farm, LLC; 1110 Turnipseed Road; Ashland City, TN 37015 - This Ashland City farm offers USDA-inspected grass-fed and grain-finished beef, as well as pork.  You may purchase from them by making an appointment at the farm or visiting the Nashville Farmers Market every Saturday.  CSA subscriptions are also available. Chandler's Hillside Farm; 705 Gossett Road; Ashland City, TN 37015 - This Ashland City strawberry farm offers pick-your-own berries or they'll pick them for you.
